We are Pecan Growers
My grandfather, DA Law planted every tree in our family owned and operated orchards with pecan trees from his nursery.
The land that Papa row cropped in the 1950's was interplanted with Sumner, Desirable, Cape Fear, Elliott, and Kiowa pecan trees. Today, those same farms are highly productive commercial pecan orchards. Respectfully known as "The Pecan Man", Papa propagated many varieties including the Sumner pecan. Legend has it he was the pioneer behind this famous cultivar which has been an outstanding producer in our orchards for decades.
Today, Law Pecan Company and Sunsweet Nurseries strive to carry on the family tradition set forth by my grandfather. We recently expanded our nurseries to include many of the newly improved and highly sought-after varieties recommended by the University of Georgia and Cooperative Extension Services as well as numerous varieties released by USDA.
